Is it worth it?

no man dont waste your money. rent it if u can just for the first season. the first season is decent and couldve set up the second season to save the series but it takes a weird turn to some pointless things in my opinion and then season three none of the girls are there by the end of the season.

I think the first two seasons are great. But that's when all the main girls start jumping ship. If you have netflix then you can watch the first two season online.

personally i really like this show, but it's not for everyone. if you ever watched and liked Queer as Folk (the us version) then you might be OK with this show.
i advice you to first catch reruns or find episodes online (youtube probably has episodes) and then decide.
i'm in the middle of season 3 and i'm really enjoying it so far, the story lines are great, and Sean is an excellent addition to the cast in my opinion.

I'll kind of critique it for you. The show tries a bit too hard to be provocative. The scripts are pretty badly written (the dialogue in particular) and they try to give the chracters who don't come across as particularly interesting too much depth. They try and dive in too quickly with obstacles they face, and they don't seem like they even merit a mention. The main selling point it really the nudity. Any male who has heard of this show will watch it just for this reason. But just because you show glimpses of a man penis of full frontal female nudity does not make you cutting edge. You can pretty much guess eveything about the characters after a few minutes spent with them and the eventual outcome of each problem etc. I can appreciate what this show is trying to do, in particular for the industy in Australia, however it falls short of being a pretty decent show. Some good points are that for an Australian drama, it is pretty original.

Let me just say this: it's a pornographic soap-opera. End of story.
Now personally I dislike it for 2 reasons: 1) I have a distaste for soap-operas in general, and 2) I strongly oppose the sex industry.
Still, I would recommend you rent it at first and make up your own mind. That way you won't waste your money if you don't happen to like it.

If you like 1) shows about prostitution without being morality tales or full of cliches, 2) nudity, 3) hearing the Australian accent, you could like this.
