Very weird film!

I've seen some of Shion Sono, earlier works like Suicide club and cold Fish, which I liked a lot. However Love Exposure was for me a great disappointment. The film seems very unclear the whole time and I doubt the director actually knew what he wanted to show in this film.

Love Exposure could have been a good film about Religion, Cults and faith, and first hour is pretty good, but the problem is the film just goes on and on, but drag this film for nearly four hours is like madness in my books. Even though I myself am a Christian, I'm not always a big fan of religion and specially Organized religion, so I did watch this film with open mind and I can say clearly that I was not offended, and that was the problem in my eyes. The problem is that the film simply doesn't offer anything at all.

5/10.

It doesn't offer anything? What did you expect from the movie that it didn't deliver?
It has a beautiful love story in it. It can make you think a lot about desires, lust, the meaning of life...it has scenes in it that can make you laugh, others that can make you cry...it's a movie that makes you feel feelings...isn't that a lot?
