I am a big fan of Abbie Cornish so I went to see this film yesterday. Excellent script and very compelling movie - all of the performances were terrific.
I hope that more people get to see it.

I was excited to see this, but unfortunately was left disappointed. It's my opinion that because it deals with an important issue, people automatically consider it a great film.
I know there will be those that disagree, but it felt a little lackluster. Some might assume it's because I don't "get" this sort of movie, but this specific style of film is among my favorite genres. I love understated (maybe even anti-climatic), slow but thought provoking movies. It just didn't seem that the film delivered it's message very well...I didn't feel connected to any of the characters. Maybe it wasn't their performances, I don't know...I guess the whole movie felt underdeveloped.
