If you hated this movie then you're going to LOVE "Thinner"...

It's pretty much the same thing:
- a morally compromised person wrongs a gipsy
- gipsy takes revenge (not justice) and curses this person
- the revenge is way disproportionate to the wrong
- cursed person comes around begging for relieve, only to get mocked and spit on
- cursed despairs feeling powerless

And THAT is where Thinner goes in the right direction:
- cursed (a criminal lawyer) calls on his meanest defendant (a mob boss he saved from a murder rap and is thus quite grateful) for help
- mob boss cuts the gipsies down to size (showing them they are NOT the only ones with power), FORCING them to relent on the curse.

Unlike here where the gipsies (and curses) are apparently all powerful and invincible.

So if you want to take the bad taste of this movie out of your system, check out Thinner.

Yea but then you get to the end of "Thinner" and.. erm... ya know...

Yeah sure both movies have bad endings for the leads, but AT LEAST in Thinner the lead (literally) gets the last laugh (killing his cheating wife and her lover, yeah sure his daughter also dies, but hey, crap happens).

Not to be that guy but it's SO easy to mask spoilers now (all you need do is highlight a line of text and click the spoiler button, takes a few seconds). At least give it a try, especially when you're spoiling movies other than the one who's board you're on.

...then whoa, differences...
