Question about the ending

I watched the mini series and really liked the story. I have the first season
of the show but i would like to know if it has a proper ending since the show
got cancled. Sometimes they cancle shows without giving the writers a chance
to end the story.

I didn't think it had a proper ending. I would really like to know what's going to happen to Joan, if Lou and Anne end up happy, there were endless storylines to be done about Wife Goes On and all the behind the scenes stuff, not to mention if Molly and Zach's future.
