I guess Ali thought that by hiding the extra money in a bag inside the toilet cover would be less suspecting if somebody were to rob her hotel room. However I am rather surprised that she didn't think of a different place to put it.

Anybody who expects to learn about finances in a Hollywood musical deserves what they get, but I had never before heard of air rights, so I'm ahead of the game, even if I lack any opportunity to apply it.
I would look there but would never think to hide it there because I'm just paranoid. I'd probably hide it in the ceiling somewhere or behind the fridge, the toaster crumb tray or inside a shampoo bottle rolled into a small tube. If a criminal finds it there, then it wouldn't really matter where you put it; they're too damned determined.

shareI thought the same thing although I would have never thought to look for money in the toilet. Was this used in another movie or tv show before? Maybe that's where she got the idea to put the money there and how the robbers knew where to look.
