"Why so serious?"

reply

Now called 'Kiss of Death' and it says in this months sky mag that it will be aired at the end of the month. not sure of the date sorry

reply

Towards the end of May on BBC One - sorry I can't get an exact date

reply

It's on right now on BBC1 sso if you miss it, it should be on the iplayer thing they have on the BBC website.

reply

I just watched it and it was very very disappointing. It was hard to follow, didn't make much sense. The direction and script were awful and Danny Dyer was so wooden, which is unusual as I normally like his acting.

reply

I nearly gave up - first half was hard to understand, I agree. But it got better. Howevr, did anyone else think it was unnecessarily gory? We would have got the point without it all being quite so graphic!

reply

OK so part one was on BBC1 tonight (26 May) when is part two on?

reply

That's what I was wondering but it was a one-off. It's finished, apparently.

A bit disappointing.

reply

Many thanks for the clarification - unfortunately I had missed any continuity announcements, hence my confusion especially after that ending.

I suppose the ending just boils down to the central premise of the programme - multiple points of view.

To be honest, I am glad that there is no more, I didn't find the characters overly sympathetic and wonder too about the writing/acting as someone else posted.

Thanks again Batsu...

You're welcome but...

SPOILER

When Jude disappeared and didn't pick up her phone it seemed obvious something happended to her but then all you see is something which assumes she is knocked out and then the bad guy growling. It seemed a really strange note to end things on, not chilling or thought-provoking but more a sense of, "what, that's it?"

I had hoped for a little more from it and Jude and Costello were just about the only characters who were anywhere near sympathetic. WTF was up with the lead detective kissing the serial rapist/muderer in the interrogation. The police station was also more like the set of Blade Runner.

Maybe it was supposed to be CSI Sarf London or something - lol.
