The old lady who kept demanding "Potato Salad"

Who else thought she was a self-righteous *****? A little moooorrre" and then "alitttle lessss". The way she kept drawing out the words was annoying. If I were the manager, I would have turned off the ameras and let Ram Jam have at her.

Maybe she was one of Steph's teachers who remembered how Ram abandoned her?

reply

Well, I know certain people that would just tell her to go f-word herself, and if she replied would punch her in the face, I would just do my job because I know those persons probably are lonely and have serious problems. But yes, she deserve to be get a shot on the street.

reply

Physical violence against her is going a bit far, but I wouldn't have been as patient as Randy was. After a couple of times I would have told her "No. This is the amount you're getting, now pay for it and leave. You're holding up the line."

AMEN!

And she would have immediately demanded to see the manager who already had it in for Randy anyway. There's no way you can speak like that to a customer, no matter how insufferable they are. Most supermarkets like that have a 3-strikes policy and getting a complaint from a customer, who is "always right," for talking that way to them is a definite strike or even double strike. Anyone who has worked at a supermarket will tell you there are a lot of pain-in-the-ass customers, especially elderly ones, and you simply have to remain polite and deal with their demands.

It's belittling and demeaning, especially considering how poorly supermarket staff are paid.

reply

Instead of violence, just turn around and spit in the potato salad and with your best smile tell her to have a great afternoon and enjoy her dinner.

reply

Been there and done that...been in similar situations like that before back in the day...them old bitches are the worst.

Sorry Brother.
