If he died at the end, did his daughter come to the funeral?

I think she would have come to the funeral.
I think she wanted to hate him but wasn't able to hate him completely. There was a little love...well i don't know if it was love since he was nearly a complete stranger for her but maybe it was pity and the knowledge that this poor man was her father.

I agree, she'd be there. The anger and hatred she had in their last scene together was temporary.

If he didn't die, I'd like to think they would have reconciled. Perhaps in a hospital room after he retires for good.

Hmm good question.. she seemed to be pretty clear that she wanted nothing to do with him what so ever after the fight. If I had to only choose one outcome, I'd say she didn't go to the funeral, but she thought about him for ages after and kinda regretted being so harsh to him

reply

I would imagine so. Her anger towards the end of the film was understandable. After all, he had let her down again.

Towards the beginning of the film when he turns up at her door, she is initially hostile but given time, she came around. She seemed quite understanding and part of her wanted to have a relationship with him. Who's to say they couldn't have sorted it out again if he didn't die (as we are led to believe)? She seemed to be keeping him away so as she wouldn't get hurt again, rather than the fact that she actually hated him.

GREAT answers!

I think she does go, and shes feels incredible guilt over it. Did she drive him back into the ring, knowing he now had a heart condition? Maybe she could have not gotten so made at him standing her up, or called him a day or so later after she calmed down. He did genuinly care for her, and did want to try having a relationship with her. These would be some of the thoughts she would live with forever.

I doubt it.

It was her father after all.

I dont think she would have found out until it was too late.

Are you kidding ??! she was a *beep* *beep*

We don't really get the know the character well enough. Presumably, her dads life as a wrestler disallowed them the time they should have had together. She eventually took this personally and resented him. Perhaps she did overreact to her dad missing the dinner date but this instance reminded her of past failures. So her dad was already "dead" to her.

It seemed to me that he just flat out abandoned her and her mother when she was young.

Sucha awesome movie.... Crazy good movie and sad. I REALLY hoped that Randy woulda been with his daughter and they happy and happy with the Pam too... But it's a cool ending and really heroic and touching..... Last Ram Jam and dead.

I also thinked, so, did he die or live??? But i think die :(. I think she was in his funeral.

Perhaps she did go. She could have felt guilty the next morning after kicking him out. She was definitely distressed when he showed up at the house and maybe said things she wouldn't normally have said. Bottom line is Randy was her father and he made an attempt to reconcile with her beforehand. She'd probably feel massive amounts of guilt, wondering if she drove him to it. I imagine her going to the funeral but sitting quietly at the back and not letting anyone know who she was

Of course she went. It was her father. Better question: Did Pam/Cassidy go?

I'd like to think both ended up going. If not then at least go to his grave at least once.

I'd think his daughter would be torn up about it and felt guilt for it. Sure he screwed it up and deserved to be told off somewhat but it went too overboard. I think a lot of that was her girlfriend's fault. She was too much in their business and was the cause for most of her flipping out. If she wouldn't have been there then it could have went a little better. I think Stephanie loved him but was so tired of being thrown away she couldn't handle it. But I think in hindsight she prob would have regretted it and been tore up once he died.

Pam prob would have felt as bad or worse because she was literally his last chance. Yes he turned her down but she should have stayed there if she truly loved him. They could have possibly made it but she wasn't dedicated enough. If she would have stayed in that spot behind the curtain then he might not have jumped and possibly saved himself.
