Steven Kostanski Should Direct The Next Green Lantern

I finally managed to see Psycho Goreman (got sick of waiting for a UK release so had to buy the German blu ray (it's got English audio if anyone else in the UK hasn't seen it)), loved the world building and the costumes, most of the humour worked, I only wish I hadn't watched the RLM review first as they spoiled a couple of the jokes.
I digress, I liked the flashback scenes and the space opera elements reminded me of a lot of the Green Lantern comics I loved as a kid. (There was a good interview Kostanski did a few years back for ABCs of Death 2 where he said you have to play this stuff straight, even if the basic idea is really cheesy/goofy, one of the many things I hated about the 2009 GL movie is they almost seemed embarrassed by the concept and the humour elements felt really forced.)

Also, I always thought the alien Green Lanterns would look better rendered practically than with CGI, I thought the alien characters in Psycho Goreman wouldn't look out of place in a GL comic.

Now that Kostanski's got a few movies under his belt, and he's already worked with WB before (on Suicide Squad, etc), they should consider him for GL/GLC, he could be the next James Gunn a few years from now. The only downside is how well he'd work with a big budget, I expect the suits at WB would be obliged to interfere if it was a movie based on a major property, especially after the last attempt.
