Groovy

I'm following these guys (Astron-6) since their fake trailers days and they disappointed me only once with "The Void". "B-b-but the practical effects are s-s-s-so m-m-millennial..." people say. So what? It is lame, derivative and uninspired. And I haven't watched "Father's day", but I'm sure that I'd like it, because these guys' strength is in "absurd self-conscious 80s throwback cheapo b-movie horror/sci-fi comedies" and to this day I passed all aptitude tests for this long but probably incomplete genre description.

Psycho Gorman could be their best and most expensive effort (relatively to their previous movies). Charmingly enthusiastic, creative and LOL provoking with cool old-school practical effects. The humor and the action flatten a bit in the last 20-30 minutes but ultimately the movie does not disappoint.

Hopefully nobody would ever corrupt these guys by giving them enough money.

Just kidding.

7.5/10

PS: Here is one of their fake trailers (referenced in Psycho Gorman) as a litmus test to see if their stuff is for you:
