Mom getting hit with a bat in the beginning....

OK, so right off this movie is crap, because if someone is swinging a bat
at you and happens to get a lucky shot, and that person swinging happens
to be a little kid, you are not going to just lay there while saying
over and over "stop hitting me", you are going put up a defensive posture
with your arms to protect your face and then lunge toward your attacker
to grab the bat out of the little kids hands. Totally unrealistic.
Plus its a wooden bat, with a 10-12 yr old kid, not a whole lot of strength
there.

Did you even watched the movie? It wasn't the kid that was wielding the bat. It was the husband/father that was swinging the bat at her.

Secondly this is a movie.

I'm not going to debate either one of you on whether the scene was realistic, or who was actually swinging the bat. All I'm here to say is it's the most violent scene I've ever seen in a movie. And I've seen lots of movies.

I never throw up, but I felt nauseous for about five minutes after viewing.
Can't comment on the film beyond that, because I never watched the rest of it.

Ok, maybe you might have a point if it actually were the boy who hit her, but she was blitz attacked from behind and hit directly in the head. Look up what happens when you have massive head trauma. You're dazed, unable to think straight. So, no, she really wouldn't have put up much of a fight with being attacked that fast and that brutally.
