overuse of drop shadow? check.
boring "collage" of movie stills? check.
tiny dancing man down by the credits? check.

"Derr..."
Let's do the math. All that the money that they spent on this movie plus all the money they spent to get it into fifty theaters (and that's big bucks!), they could have made a good movie. This one was one man's trip to ego land. He wrote it and spent years trying to get it made but couldn't sell it. So he got everyone on this planet to pitch in to pay for the production and then decided that he could produce it better than anyone else. Forget that he had never produced a movie. Okay, still, maybe that might possibly work. But nope, let's add on the fact that he also decided that he wanted to direct it as well. Let's see, a first time writer/producer, plus a first time director plus no clue what to do with it after he made the picture. What does all that add up to?
Fail!!
The guy looks like L. Ron Hubbard.
