I loved that Clint Howard was Andy Griffiths son in this movie. with Ron being his son in the Andy Griffith show... i just love when they do little things like that in movies or tv shows! it makes it that much more entertaining.
shareI think Dick (Clint) was Joe's (Andy) son-in-law rather than his son. They never refer to each other as my father or my son, rather as your grandfather or your father. That's why David went to live with his grandparents when his mother died, because they were his mother's parents and Dick had abandoned David and his mother just before she died.
