Second Genghis Khan movie ?

Pretty strange that 2 movies going about the same thing come out so close to each other. When i saw it and bought the DVD i had hope for a sequel to Mongol. A bit disapointed it was about exactly the same.
Although Mongol took quite a few liberties with the history I found it alot better then this one. The story is told better and his life, truth or not, is told from kid to khan seamless, unlike this one where there are alot of gaps.
Also Borte was an important person in his life yet she disapears after there first born.
Also the actors in this one from childhood to mature differ way to much in appearance it is impossible to recognise them, for instance the mother. When she is young she is like a tall beautifull woman and old she is little and chubby. Could have been a symbolism but it comes at the cost of the realism. Wich is strange because it felt that was what they were aiming for in the first place.
