Do you like OSO?

I'm curious how many out there enjoy/dislike this show.

Personally I can't stand it. It just feels like it was peiced together quickly and cheap as possible. Even though this show is for young children my two and a half year old seems to be neither here nor there about it.

My son loves it. He talks about it all the time and always wants to watch it. He is two years old.

my daughter is 20 months and loves it, i think its cute. im a james bond fanatic and enjoy some of the references, such as all of the episode names Ex-3 wheels are not enough, the world is not enough, a zoo to a thrill, a view to a kill

"We are now the knights who say---Ekki ekki ekki ekki Ptang! Zoom Boing Z'nourrwringmmm!"

My 3 1/2 year old LOVES this show. He walks around singing the "three special steps" song all the time. Thumbs up for Oso!

My 3-yr old boy likes the show, seeming to choose it over most other shows with the exception of Dora and Diego. I personally can't stand it, but I can't stand Dora either and that show is a raging success, so what do I know.

My 9 month old loves it! Go figure..

"It's all part of the plan"....

"More or less"

My 3 1/2 year old daughter LOVES this show. She watches it over and over and over and over and (you get the idea here). I think it's cute enough I guess, if highly annoying, lol. But I think it hits its target audience, at least with my daughter and her little friends, so I can't really complain about it.

you know you have a problem when you're waking your 5 month old up from her sleep just so you can watch OSO!

I LOVE OSO!! and so does she! When the song "three special steps" comes on, she FLIPS OUT! She smiles and gets all silly! we love Paw Pilot and OSO!!!

reply

My 3year old Daughter thinks this is patronising, it seem the show thinks Kids ain't that smart.

reply

we all love Oso in our house :) me my husband, 19month old and baby bump

reply

I know this post is old but.....seriously? You would wake up your 5 month old to watch a TV show? Sorry, that's ridiculous. There's no reason a 5 month old should be watching television let alone being awoken for it.

reply

I put it on from youtube for my cats.
they like the bright colours.
I don't mind hearing Sean Astin's voice while I'm doing other things.

oh, and my cats are 7 months, 5 months, and 4 months old.

my youngest one also loves any British accent, so there's a lot of Monty Python played on my laptop these days LOL

reply

I think my 22 month old tolerates it, since it comes on between Mickey Mouse episodes.
I, however, cannot stand it! The show is just so annoying! Oso is a moron. These kids can't do anything for themselves. It's formulaic and repetitive.

reply

I personally don't like it--OSO is a complete moron and usually the kids have to help him LOL--but my 16 month old daughter loves it...I think it's because of the music :D

reply

My two year old loves the show! Being forced to watch several different kid's programs, I can say that it's not my favorite of the Disney ones. Oso IS kind of a moron. He forgets what Dotty tells him to do just seconds after he hears it. The paw pilot pretty much tells him what and how do EVERYTHING. One would think a secret agent would need to be able to figure out how to do some things on his own. Yes, the kids teach him more than he teaches them. Why not just have the paw pilot do the teaching? OSO isn't really needed since he doesn't know what he is doing either.

But hey, since my toddler loves it, the show is obviously reaching it's target audience. It's not really meant for me.

reply

LOL! My three year old frequently forgets what I just told her to do seconds after she hears it! I guess that's who the target audience is... not the parents!
Paw Pilot just clues him in when he needs tips or reminders and the kids are collaborative learners WITH Oso which is a non-judgmental environment for youngsters to gain skills doing something new, which, if I'm not mistaken, appears to be the purpose of the show...

reply

Yes I agree. It isn't for adults! Just kiddos! My son and I love to watch! He is almost 2.

To all of those who are bad-mouthing Special Agent Oso saying that he is a moron, I will let you in on a little secret, read this link, hopefully it will answer a few questions for you: http://www.scrippsnews.com/node/42239. Personally, my three year old daughter and I happen to enjoy the show very much. We watch it and The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse together.
