Show is all about parties and vacations now
When the kids were little, the show was all about the real-life struggles of raising babies and toddlers. We saw all the sickness, gum in hair, temper tantrums, marital problems, etc. Now, there are plenty of interesting topics that affect families with teens, but they're no longer honest about them. We saw the twins with acne, but we never found out how they got rid of it. This is something that I've dealt with in parenting my own teens. It would have been nice to see it addressed on the show. I know some will say that it's too invasive and embarrassing for teens to have their personal lives talked about on TV; but everyone was already discussing their acne, anyway, since they were on the show. Why not make it a topic? This is a real issue that all teenagers deal with. Maybe they tried several treatments and ended up seeing a dermatologist and getting a prescription treatment. This is what I had to do with my daughter. I would have been interested to see the ongoing problem and the eventual solution, since the girls both have clear skin now. This is just one type of "real" show they could have done. Enough with all the vacations! How about just one vacation episode per season and real issues on the others?
