Sounds similar to the NSA revelations today

Interesting that many parts of this movie have been revealed to actually be happening. NSA listening to every phone call, internet monitoring, etc. I doubt the security cameras are all linked to it though.

Does anyone think this movie was influenced in anyway by Colossus: The Forbin Project?
