The final episode has aired.....well...what do you think?

I fought it was brilliant! Just a very few what fell flat like the shopping channel but overall just great. The butterfield timeline was funny i fought and michael-6 was very funny as usual. The zombie chatline haha, genius. So what did you all think and do you think there will be enough people watching to commission a second series?

im glad there is other people who like this great comedy as well as me!

if it gets axed then a brilliant talent will be wasted

and people like david walliams and matt lucus will carry on with the same boring routines.

well done peter you have yourself a mini-fan base on imdb

I loved the series. I think the quality dipped a bit in the last two episodes but it was still very funny. If he does a second series I think he needs to do completely new characters though. The only character I could see carrying on would be Derek Butterfield but obviously doing something different the adverts cos I thought that character was hilarious and I'd love to see him in new situations like trying different jobs cos his companies all failed. The reason I think he'd need to do completely new characters is because I think in any sketch show series once you've done a bunch of characters for a whole series, it's almost impossible to go back to them without repeating jokes. Look at Little Britain (although that's actually just repeated pretty much the same episode for several series).

yep so would i but hopefully bring back with him his best scetches such as derek butterfield and a modern guide to.. but also bring something new and funny to the series. He tried to do that with dead or undead but to be honest it wasnt really that funny.

I found it a bit mixed as well. There's a lot of fabulous material, but some of it seems strained and/or a bit too long, particularly the actor's studio bits which feel like a drag to me. It also seems that they front-loaded the best material, making later episodes seem like a bit of a letdown.

I definitely think he deserves a lot more airtime, but he really needs a few more writers to help vary the material and give him more to choose from. I'd also like to see him performing a little less, and working with other actors more. Also - and this is just a personal preference - I'd like to see him cut down on the celebrity impersonations and do more plot-driven sketches and pastiches (like the "Guide To Modern Life"). Although I never tire of seeing him play all four Beatles!
