Only a Dumb*** wears a hat in someone's home

Robb, don't you know it is considered bad manners for a guy to wear a hat when in someone's house? You're giving the US a bad name.

Reality check on hats in the house. Nowadays people are not taught that hats are off in the house. For military,at least Marines, have to remove hats if they go in a door no matter where. As for myself I find it to be rude to not teach your kids to remove their hats inside, not to enforce it, and not make it a rule. Some exceptions would be emergency workers, police, and similar public servants. The custom varies from culture to culture. On/off depending. Several denominations also wear hats or the equivalent inside church. Hats off inside was originally started to show respect for the lady of the house. Maybe someone out there knows another origin of this custom?

amazon 423:

Yeah, the NEW custom is to advertise GHI or TAPS as much as possible you MUST WEAR YOUR franchise gear all of the time. In the early episodes, Jason would hand out TAPS To whomever he had investigated.

Just like candy on Halloween, one received one of those stupid caps. How embarrassingly CHEAP!

reply

Agreed, if someone entered my house wearing a hat i would make it a point to ask them to remove it and if they didn't i would remove it for them. It is rude and disrespects the home or business owner.

As we grow we learn, i have learned that if you don't like me grow up or ignore me.

reply

Oh please stop whining and get a life!

Hats off when you are visiting maybe, but not when you are doing a job. Military might take their hats off when they enter a building on a base but if you take your hat off in the field you will die. Just like the military in the field, Ghost hunters enter homes to help people and get things done, not eat cookies and milk.

"Why the *beep* would I blow up Chick-fil-A? It's *beep* delicious."

reply

I never take it off, hahaha...screw century old traditions.

OP is a sad sad individual.

We recently saw a couple of episodes of this show on Netflix and made similar remarks about the guy who insists on wearing his cap indoors. I keep expecting him to spit a big wad of chewing tobacco on the floor. What a clod.

I find it sad that people even care about such stupid crap as what others wear in a house. Who says it's rude and why? Only a prude or a conformist blindly follows such outdated practices. In a free Country I will wear whatever I want, thank you very much. We aren't living in the 50's anymore, nor does the United States have a prudish class system with tons of pointless etiquette like Britain.

PS- I also eat meat with my hands, put the fork on the wrong side of my plate and even eat dinner on my couch sometimes... I guess I am just a horrible person.
