Thank You for No Hollywood Nonsense. ***Spoiler Warning***

One of the best things about this film is it does not follow the traditional "Hollywood template". Obviously it was an emotional scene in the film when Gary Brewer (Tim Doiron) loses the Rock, Paper, Scissors championship, but i could not help being overwhelmed with joy afterwards when there was no traditional Hollywood ending, where in that case Gary Brewer gets first place and then defeats his arch-nemesis Baxter Pound (Peter Pasyk). The fact he lost the championship and then loses to Baxter Pound makes the movie so much more powerful and I really respect April Mullen and Tim Doiron for making that decision.

I do know that in real life Tim Doiron did lose and Peter Pasyk only lost to the man who did become champion, but they could have easily re-cut it to make the ending "Hollywood friendly". I'm so happy they didn't.
