Oh God I hope Seventh Son does, watched both it and Blackhat and Blackhat was just atrocious. At least the acting is half decent, Blackhat had bad acting, bad action, just bad everything. Hell the "romance" in Seventh Son was even better than Blackhat's.
shareBlackhat is already not in theaters anymore. Seventh Son has so far outgrossed it by about 1 million.
Seventh Son will likely close with around 15 million.
In all honesty, I much preferred Blackhat. The plot was nonsense but at least the action scenes (all two of them) were well shot and well edited, and Hemsworth, as miscast as he may be, at least tried to be good. Seventh Son was mainly a laughably bad CGI crapfest with horrendous performances from otherwise very talented actors.

I honestly thought it would be somewhat of a contest, but actually it was no contest.
Seventh Son won with flying colors.
Blackhat was gone after its first weekend, but Seventh Son still has several full-day showings after its second weekend.
