i don't know who's idea it was to have jeff talk like a low-rent Bane, but they need to have the teeth slapped out of their mouth.
i couldn't get more than 15 minutes into this movie before i turned away and put on my headphones while my wife finished it.
as much as i wanted to watch julianne moore as an evil wicked witch, i just could not get past bridges godawful accent.
utterly utterly horrible.
He talked like that in R.I.P.D, True Grit, The Giver and now watching Seventh Son and yup... it's even worst in this movie.

Lol! I came on here to see if anyone else found it to be as horrible and distracting as I did, and when I saw your post, I nearly died! Crazy that we both heard his voice, and pictured the same exact thing! Sorry, but I had to tell ya!

shareAgreed. It's been excruciating to watch Jeff Bridges in anything lately. I wonder if he's actually suffered some medical condition that has changed his voice? Either way, I can't watch him any more.

shareMy wife says she saw or read somewhere where he suffered a mild stroke. When he was asked about his health on a radio show, he refused to answer. The stroke story sounds legit because he's talking that way in every movie now. It was kind of comical in RIPD, but its annoying in all his movies since so it must be something permanent.

I was a big misunderstanding ... the director forgot to tell him that he wasn't playing the Tusk character.

I think he talks like that in real life. When I've seen him on talk shows, it seems as if he has lost most of his teeth. He doesn't talk as deep, but I think the person who posted about a stroke may be right.
