I don't understand how so many people think Cindy is a bitch in the movie, and everything is her fault.Dean was an ass on more than one occasion in this movie, but never gets called out on it. In the movie Revolutionary Road however, I do think it was April's fault for the most part because I saw him trying, but I didn't see her doing nothing but being a nasty bitch.
shareI just watched this last night so am on the message board today to see what people thought of it. I wonder in what ways you thought he was an ass? I'm interested because I don't see it, I just see a fun loving slightly immature but caring person, who due to his mother leaving has some old fashioned values? Maybe the alcohol, but I don't know if we're meant to think he's an alcoholic? Those sunglasses were pretty awful, and we're meant to get the impression he has let himself go, but as a human being, what did he do that was so awful?
I found her to be impatient and withdrawn from him and possibly jealous of the relationship he had with their daughter, also just 1 step away from breaking her marriage vows if she hadn't already. Tbh, I enjoyed the film but felt it could have been much better, we are allowed to hear him talking about his feelings and emotions before they get together and learn his personality and impetus more than hers which maybe skews my view, I felt no empathy for her at all!
