BS 'user reviews' ..again, sigh

2 were real. 1 gave this a 9 or 10 and the other one gave it a thumbs down.

Can a real member with credentials & a history here at IMDb give us a real review on this thread pleeeeze??

I have no credentials that I'm aware of, but I thought "Tony" was really good, albeit a bit short. I wouldn't know what it should have showed had it been 20 minutes longer, though. It did what the filmmakers set out to do, I guess.

Like I just wrote in another thread, I had to pause for a couple of times during this movie, not even during the more violent scenes, but all those painfully awkward moments creeped me out. So it's fair to say this thing moved me, and that's always a good thing.

The lead actor was absolutely brilliant, and most of the supporting roles were also done more than adequately. The Tony character isn't easy to identify with, but somehow they pull it off, and it made me very uncomfortable.

You must have figured out that I don't review movies for a hobby, I just like watching them. And this I liked, disturbing as it was.

If you like your horror stories with zombies in them, this is probably not for you. If you like to be dragged into the world of a deeply disturbed and emotionally crippled human being, by all means, check it out!

I gave it 7/10 which is the average rating by voters . I was very fair but everything is subjective and as I said in my review I watched it because of the Matt Johnson soundtrack

I gave it a 9/10 - an absolute gem of a film. I didn't even know it was being made - been chasing that Bronson all last year...and then when it finally came out I was really disappointed.
Tony rocks though - a real breath of fresh air to the genre.

I think the movie draws on the fact that you see people like that who appear to be dumb, or simple I dont know how to describe it really just walking around in towns n stuff, like that look a bit weird to you and in your head you have probably judged and thought that they could be a serial killer.

And not to spoil it but the ending although as mentioned comes quickly is the perfect ending and really makes you have a sense of worry, which is quite brilliant I must say! PS I gave it a 7 because although I really liked it I wasnt overly impressed, thought it was a bit slow but strangely captavating at the same time

I gave it a 8. Really liked it...just a tad short on run time.

"Daddy, would you like some sausage?" - Tom Green, "Freddy Got Fingered" 9/10
