Verry Very Believable

Just want to say that i have read extensively about serial killers, including dennis nielsen (who Tony is extremely like) and mainly jeff dahmer and dennis rader. I have also watched loads of documentaries just trying to get a grasp on what exactly makes them tick and why they do it. Tony won't provide any real answer to this but it is a genuinely realistic and chilling portrait of a serial killer. Many serial killers operate within their community with a lot more ease than Tony and would be not quite so obvious to spot as being strange. However, a number of them are isolated, lead very secret lives, struggle to get any enjoyment or pleasure from everyday life (dahmer describes being exceptionally bored most of his young life where the normal things that interested a man his age just didn't interest him) and are methodical in their covering their tracks. The film has a great performance in the lead role, excellent over the shoulder viewpoints almost putting you in his skin and brilliant perfect brooding music. Dahmer with jeremy renner is the only other film that i can compare it to for its effectiveness. Well done, horrible subject matter but very well made film

I couldn't help but compare it to "Henry : Portrait of a Serial Killer." This movie is great...I never thought anything was really unbelievable. There are 2 Ted Bundy films, one called Bundy... The other I forget. Both ok. One is more disturbing. Gacy was ok also. I guess of serial killer flicks this is right on top of my list, with Henry prob. second, followed by Dahmer.

PS : I think there' may be 2 Dahmer films also, and one based on his dad or something...its on Netflix right now. Haven't got to it yet.
