Are they really shutting down the message boards? If so, that makes me very sad. Really like talking about my favorite shows and movies with others on IMDB.
shareI'm not surprised. Not a source of revenue. The corporate overlords missed their earnings last quarter. This web site is basically becoming a commercial, like the rest of the internet. My use of IMDb is going to plummet. Off to Reddit.
shareReddit is probably the next best thing.

This is sad. I suppose I will end up at Reddit, though the IMDB 2.0 Forum looks interesting too. Sadly, most of the dedicated Fringe Forums (Fora?) out there are pretty much archives now.
The eponymous fringe-forums.com was okay in the day. I was active there for a while. Unfortunately teenage fangirls dominated the site; predictable shipping was the main discussion by f a r . . .
I have visited reddit. It seems okay. A little obsessed with Observer lookalikes. I'll check out IMDb 2 as well.
FYI:
An admin at TheMovieDB.org has experimentally reopened
their discussion forums for all shows and movies.
Here's their Fringe page:
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/1705-fringe
See the icons on the left side of the poster-image.
Click the first of those icons to go to the discussion page at:

This is still experimental, so there may be some issues.
Those lookalike IMDB boards are kinda sad and dead.
