Which was better: Fringe or Lost

Assuming you watch both wonderful shows, which did you prefer Fringe or Lost?

reply

I prefer Fringe. After a while, Lost got confusing.

I really liked Lost. It was a wonderful show. But Fringe was so much more

While they both have a LOT in common, they both have just as many things apart from each other.

I can't contrast one to the other and they're both perfect, so.

Yeah, I can see why you were disappointed with the Lost finale.

Yeah, the Rosanne finale was pretty bad.

I think overall Lost was the better written show but I still prefer Fringe because of its characters and overall mythology.

reply

I prefer the characters and mysterious of Lost, but Fringe had the better, tighter storytelling.

Let's be bad guys.

Fringe didn't rob me of six years of my life so...

How did it rob you?
Or are you just one of those trolls that are going to say "they were dead all along"?

reply

I loved both, but I only watched Lost once. I'm watching Fringe for the fourth time right now.

Fringe - while it didn't grab you with mystery like Lost...

Fringe's character depth, mythology, consistency and overall execution of the plot... Plus it had so many layers! Just thinking about both shows makes me realize how different they were, but Fringe succeeded on so many levels for me - it should go down as one of the best SciFi series of all time.

reply

Another element Fringe had that Lost didn't was humor (Walter).

I agree... One of the best sci-fi shows ever.

Can someone please tell me how Farscape makes so many all time greatest lists??!?!?
IMO that is the cheesiest, stupidest, most poorly made and acted show I have ever seen, yet it continues to get rave reviews. Am I missing something? Are these polls only open to 8 yr olds?

reply

Farscape is a poor-man's, non-cancelled version of a much better show "Firefly".

I don't know why people love Farscape so much, it's okay.

Fringe and Firefly to me are at the top of the list... Lost is there also, Twin Peaks, on Netflix right now Stranger Things, the X Files... just off the top of my head those shows are all about 10,000x better than Farscape.

Thank you! I knew I wasn't the only one wearing a tinfoil hat :). !

Does it really matter which came first?

Can Firefly not still be comparable and better?

I stand by this statement

So true about Walter. Love him so much.

imo, Farscape is one of the best shows. You really have to stick with it because the first season starts rough. It's very similar to Fringe in many ways. It's driven by its characters and it has a very engrossing mythology. Plus it has one of the best love stories I have ever seen on tv.
Stick it out thru mid to late S1. It's really worth it.

reply

The only thing that Fringe and Farscape have in common is that they're both on Netflix.

Even you're biggest supporters won't tell you they're equal.

It's like comparing Waikiki Beach to the Mojavi desert... Both have sand.
