My thoughts on 'the ending' *spoilers*

My opionions on this movie, it was ok but could have been better.

First off, they dragged the movie on for too long. It just basically killed the suspense after the sudden shooting and killing of Kerry Isalano.

Secondly, do we really know that they are finding the right "suicide bomber" or is this for another government or brainwashing purpose? Maybe Paul Brodie wrote all the right answers to the questions on that survey so he got to play Phase 2. They just needed to run through the drill for perhaps point three.

Thirdly, how do we know that Ms. Reilly isn't being tested as well to see if she is suitable for their plans?

Finally, I see no direct relationship to the movie "Cube" as they are just stuck in a white observation room. They should have added a few more intense moments or some background filler with Ms. Reilly instead of dragging their feet.

She was being tested, though. At the end the scientists were leading Paul through the corridores they wanted in order to lead him to Ms Reilly. That was her test, whether or not she would give in to her own morality and help him or if she would disconnect and preserve the experiment. She passed her test and was welcomed into the program.

Exactly.

It was also fairly clear that they had intended for her to notice that he had left his key there, and see if she would take it.

I really don't think you "got" this movie. The "suspense" isn't about the program existing. Hell, they're scene switching with the psychologists talking about what they're doing so where is the suspense in THAT? Only the details are a secret.

Reilly IS being tested. We hear this explicitly throughout the movie. she's being evaluated as a suitable enabler just as the civilians are being evaluated. In fact, I think the failed escape where she blocks off the escape route was her final test.
