Series wrapped up?

It wasn't cancelled; most Japanese dramas have a shorter airing period, over one season, and Galileo 2 was planned for 11 from the start. Well, it depends on what you mean by 'wrapped up', since it stayed episodic till the end, really - I think it's supposed to lead into the film, Manatsu no Houteishiki. Everything's left open-ended, and there have been rumours that Fuji TV has no intention of letting go of Fukuyama or the franchise just yet (in other words, a possible season 3). Honestly I'd rather they drop it, before they blow it like with their other huge franchise, Bayside Shakedown (Odoru Daisousasen). Galileo's season 2 was mediocre compared to the first, a huge disappointment for a lot of fans including myself :/
