OMG!!!

What's not to understand - that's a no-brainer. All murders are equal, however, does it not occur to you that an infant baby, todder or child is at a stage in their lives where they are defenceless without survival skills - they do not have the option of choice, to think for themselves, to defend themselves and are still co-dependent on others (adults, older chilren) for their survival in life. A basic instinct of flight or fight that a child possesses is on a very small scale compared to that of a fully functioning adult.

It's about humanity and how we deal with the relative scale of the crime of murder... I'm certain many people would also consider the murder of a frail elderly person in the twilight years of their life with the same compassion.
