Horrible Remake!

The actors are boring and I can't believe how bad their acting is. The quality of acting is on the level of a high school play. None of them have any chemistry with each other. Their "jokes" fall flat with their bad timing.

This series is copying the script from a hit show, so it's surprising how poor this writing is. The directing is worst. Nothing feels natural. Every scene feels forced. Cringe-worthy! It doesn't even have a "so bad it's good" value since it's so dull.

On a positive note, I like the music. Prasanna Puwanarajah playing Dan (Gabriel in the French version) is semi-watchable.

I enjoyed the original French version from the opening scene. Each character and their idiosyncrasies stand out from the beginning and their interactions are fun.

This is the worst remake I've ever seen in my life. Rating: 1/10

Oh I dunno. Doesn't seem terribly awful. Have never seen the original. At least it has celebrity guests I've heard of, which the French version probably doesn't have. Suspect that the French version is probably a copy of Ugly Betty anyway.

French version has plenty of celebrities.

You have nothing to compare it to.

French version has nothing to do with Ugly Betty.

Yeah, I have nothing to compare it to. I haven't been tainted.

Of course, French ones. Major ones including Oscar and Cesar winners, too. I'm about to watch the 4th season.

Brit version canceled after one season. LOL!

Probably don't know them. You have to read subtitles. And so on.

Shows get cancelled for lots of reasons, often not having anything to do with quality. Even evergreens like Seinfeld would have been cancelled except that the network went against their best judgement.

You know them if you watch French movies.

I haven't watched season 4 yet, but Sigourney Weaver is in it. Jean Reno from The Professional. And Jean DuJean who won an Oscar for The Artist was in season 3. Christophe Lambert from Highlander. Many others but you may not know them.

Forgotten people and movies. The Artist is so little regarded now that it's streaming free on Kanopy. Much rather see Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia, Williams, Kelly MacDonald and Dominic.

I only named actors I believed you knew since it's obvious you don't watch French movies. Most of the stars are A and B-listers.

You only named one actor I know and she's not a big deal.

You did the right thing. There would be no point in naming those I would be even less likely to know.

If you don't know these famous people, you're not a movie watcher, not of British movies at least.
