Is this is any way related to Coldheart Canyon, 2001, by Clive Barker,
in a Lawnmower man-ish sort of way, like... just using the name,
slightly modified here, and doing your own thing from that point?
I can't see any similarities between the novel plot and what
information I can find about the movie.
Or does Cold heart canyon actually mean something?
Is it a real place, rather than a stolen title?

No, I think it's supposed to be set in L.A.'s Laurel Canyon or one of the Hollywood canyon neighborhoods and the "cold heart" refers to the, uh, "coldness" of some of the characters. Nothing like "Hellraiser" but man, do I wish the wrath of Pinhead on some of the people in this film.
