WOOT!

What could have been a long, drawn-out mockery of the lives of the dying (or those living with what could potentially be a fatal illness...), this short does it splendidly!!!
Kudos to the writer-director!!!

You hit the nail there..This short is simply the very best of Danish film making! Christian Christiansen really give the story a touch of something so real..I simply LOVE it'..All the best with the OSCARS 2008!

This film was amazing. I was so surprised it did not win the Oscar.

I think it did not win the AA in one of the Academy's political games. They failed to nominate any of the great French language films last year (La Vie en Rose, Persepolis, Diving Bell, others) for foreign language film. The only foreign film I like more than the later two of that group was Four Months, Three Weeks, Two Days. I think they gave it to the French entry as a consolation. That was easily my least favorite of the five. Om Natten was my favorite nominated short I have seen in years though I saw one recently at the Sarasota Film Festival called Merrily, Merrily that was staggering.

Well, they only failed to nominate La Vie en Rose and Diving Bell because of their rules. France submitted Persepolis, and the Academy figured that putting it into the animated category would free up a spot. 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days' omission is kind of unforgivable, though.
