I have seen (and liked) the series, should I watch the movie?

Is it better or worse?

Or maybe just different.

If you have seen both, what is your suggestion?

XIII: The Conspiracy is the starting point for the series, with its own plot to make it a stand-alone film. You don't really have to see it since you've seen the tv series, but if you like the tv series I suggest you see it. You'll enjoy it very much! :)

Don't listen to the peeps on here about it being crappy and all that. The story I think its fantastic and kept me interested throughout with its plot-twists, and you start to learn new things in regards to the character and the nature of who he is and his purpose to the story; learning things with the main character because he doesnt know who he is! ;) Even the end is something you kinda can guess but at the sametime not certain, which was a sendoff for the tv series. I like the darkness and overall tone to it because thats the point, you don't know whats going on and your going along with the story trying to figure it out with Ross Tanner.

To those who say it sucks compared to Bourne Identity and stuff, well the creator for the comics mentioned it was inspired by the Bourne story. People just went along with it and panned it for being a carbon-copy and what-not which it really isnt. As for orginality, No movie or book these days are original in the sense, and are just great innovations from past stories due to Artistic License and their ingenuity.

I think the real problem here that people have is that its Canadian produced... French-Canadian at that!! hahaha :)

tks buddy, I will give it a try, but only sometime next year, or the other!

Are you from Canada?

No, you shouldn't. Read the comic and play the game instead.

I realize you left this comment years ago. My comment is more for the people who come here like I did looking for an answer to the same basic question. My question was: "Should I watch this first or just skip it?" Someone on another social site asked me the same question. As someone new to the entire series this was my answer:
It's basically the first episode to the series, a prequel as it were. It explains in full detail what happened with the assassination plot and how he lost his memory with many of the same actors even. The lead actor(XIII) is different but they explained that because at the end of the movie he was getting a new face anyway so that was easy. I'd say yes it's definitely worth a watch. I hadn't watched the series yet and didn't even realize there was a movie out there and stumbled across it on Netflix so after watching the first episode of the series, I thought I'd do the movie before I continued any further and I'm glad I did.
