Just how many Strigoi are in this (Spoilers Within)

Can anyone shed some light on just how many strigoi are running around in this film?

The "bite marks" from the strigoi are fairly distinctive despite the fact that no one seems to notice them.

The old man (dead at the beginning) is covered in them indicating that he as been feed on for a long time before Vlad even comes into the story. Mara only has them after she was fed on by Constantin's wife (on her breast) but Mara's husband also has them on his neck.

Vlad is, of course, covered in them.

Apart from Mara's bites (from Constantin's wife) are we supposed to assume that all the other wounds (on Mara's husband and the old man) were inflicted by Vlad's grandfather or were there other strigoi in the village?
