I was in York this week and saw the shots at the Shambles and York Minster. Missed Sean but i got a good snap of Sam Neill:

Looks like a great series with a great cast!

Indeed. They are delaying the release of the show till October 17th, but it looks to have a good cast. For more on the release date, see here:

I'll hold off my verdict till I've seen it, but it could be good and original. As I posted in the other thread, they could use "The Further Adventures of Robinson Crusoe" and have the storyline be about Crusoe's adventures around the world after he got off the island. BTW, you can read that on Project Gutenberg at: http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/d#a204.

Sean Bean kicks ass. I'm excited for this show.

I would never, never do anything unless I believed in it- River Phoenix

I'm not that familiar with the story, so I don't know how age-appropriate Bean and Neill's characters are, but I have to say where was NBC when both of these men were in their primes. I'm talking early '90s here. A swashbuckling adventure series featuring the two of them BACK THEN would have been phenomenal. Although I'm reserving judgment, I think they're both a bit to old for that anymore.

wicked! I knew that Sam Neil was in the show, but did not know about Sean Bean -

I always hold reservation til I actually see a show, but this looks good so far, and LOST did great relying on flashbacks, no reason Crusoe can't do the same

I'm LOST, are you??

It's not Sean Bean, it's Philip Winchester, although he does look very much like a younger Sean Bean (22 years younger actually).
