Just discovered this yesterday...

...and I LOVE it! It's very swashbuckle-y, and though silly, wonderful to look at at least.
Too bad it was cancelled so early.
But is it just me, or does Crusoe look slightly like Orlando Bloom, and Olivia like Natalie Portman?

Aaah he doesn't get back with his family? Why'd you have to tell me that, I"m only on episode 7! :(

It's ok. Kind of weird that they ended it without him making it back, though.

I don't understand why they only made it 13 eps when it leaves us hanging like that.

Are you a fan of delicious flavor?

Actually I think most of your assumptions might be in error. Not knowing Olivia's motives (she did burn Crusoe's letter to Susannah) we most certainly do not know that Susannah and her kids are safe and they still are dirt poor. As for the fate of Jeremiah, I would say he would survive the passage. In hindsight people are calling this a 13 episode mini-series, that it was meant to end. But it's more than clear that it was set up to go on much longer, had the ratings been higher. Without Jeremiah there wouldn't be much of a future story arc, so my guess is that he would have survived the passage. Samuel, he probably would have died though.

Without their comforts and the like, I certainly wouldn't describe Crusoe and Friday as safe and sound on the island.

Alas, we shall never know their fates.

So that's it forever for the series right? Just based off the book though.

Hey, it reminds me of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, I NEED to play that.
