Similarities between Crusoe and Will Turner

I was watching episode 7 today (where Olivia gets shot and the mutineers leave and I noticed *so* many similarities between Crusoe and Will...in the whole series, really, but especially in this episode.
-First, Philip Winchester looks a good bit like Orlando Bloom
-He also has a variation on the same accent, talks the same, raises his voice nobly in the same places, etc.
-He also has a relationship (i won't call it romantic) with a crossdressing sailor.
-And, ok, that whole whipping scene? *Seriously* Let's pull his arms to either side, his shirt off, and whip him while looking at shots of him nobly grunting and groaning instead of screaming. Though frankly I thought Will's pain was more realistic...this was a bit too manly, he looked more like he was having bandaids pulled off than being beaten.
-Etc. etc, etc. Anyone notice anything else?
Not bashing him or anything...I love Will Turner, and Crusoe. Just thought it was interesting.
Here's holding out for the part where he stands on the side of the ship, gun pointing to his head, and insists from the mutinous first mate that Olivia goes free.

I caught myself smiling for no reason again today and realized I was thinking about you.

Yeah, I see some similarities myself between the two (though I'm a slightly bigger fan of dear William - I seriously need to sit down and write a crossover of this if I had the time)

Wait till you see the end of episode 9.

Proud Willabeth fan since 2003

The show was always severely hampered by this obvious cash-in vibe... heck, right from the first episode I half expected Jack Sparr... excuse me, _captain_ Jack Sparrow to show up riding a pair of sea turtles! :p
