Sucky show (so far), and Uri's an idiot...

The only act I thought was cool was the last one with the guy using frisbees and members of the audience. I was not really impressed with the other acts, especially the guy with the trap. And this Uri Geller guy is a moron. He totally crapped on the last guy, who had the best act, but gives a good critique of the lame acts. He's backward.
But then again, the last trick *could've* been staged...but atleast it wasn't as lame as the others.

And I keep hearing on the board about Uri Geller being proved a fraud on the Johnny Carson show.. dude, I gotta check that out, because I bet that's funny. I thought his shape trick was stupid. I knew it'd be the star because it was the most solid-looking shape.

I have to disagree about the last act. It was better than the first two, but he didn't present it very well (he never built up any suspense), and he needs to work on not coming across as a two-bit gameshow host. I thought the nailgun trick had the best presentation. And regardless of whether or not you can tell which one she picked, it's still at least slightly dangerous because one mistake kills you. (That is not the trick to be doing if you have ADD!)

As for the Johnny Carson thing, you can find it on YouTube. Basically there are a bunch of metal objects in front of Uri and Johnny asks him to do something with them with only his mind. Uri can't, and then he starts making all kinds of excuses about energy and such, even blaming Johnny for creating a negative atmosphere.

Johnny was a class act when it came to exposing frauds. He never came out and said, "You're a fraud" (in fact, he was always a very gracious host at those times), but he made it clear that only a fool would believe these people.
