Can humans be trusted with this technology

I found this documentary compelling and very mind expanding. Something I wish it would have covered in terms of the possible dangers that may result from the exponentially growing technology, is the fact that people who would have access to inventions like manipulable artificial intelligence or nano technology that may give omnipotent power, are going to be the wealthiest people. Given that this stuff can't be cheap. The people in power ie.those who control the world's wealth and then governments haven't been proven to be altruistic in the decisions they make particularly when they have something to benefit. The current institution of the monetary system can considered a system of slavery. I have a feeling this technology would most likely be used to increase the gap, and keep lower classes around the world braking their backs for the rich.

Another possibility is that the government has access to these chips in our brains and control us this way. I think the question we should ask before should we trust AI's is how can we trust the hands that they're in.

But really who knows, what do you think?

It seems to me that most technological advances come from either NASA or the Military Industrial Complex. So, my opinion is A.I. will first be used for space exploration and war, then slowly as the technology becomes cheaper, people will have their own A.I. robot much like everyone has a smart phone now. I suppose, at that point, we'd also have A.I. robots working in the service industries and as general laborers.

If this happened, A.I. would replace those who are only qualified for those kinds of jobs, but it may also give people the impetus to seek higher learning which could make society better. Either way, the gap between the owners of the economy and the workers in the economy could increase because not every human being is going to want to get a degree. But since technology increases at a exponential rate, A.I. will eventually have the computing power of a human brain and will eventually surpass it.
I'm not sure what the implications of this would be since most A.I. in the world will most likely be weaponized.

That said, I think having A.I. to work menial jobs may free humans to follow their passions. A combination of A.I. and renewable energy could create a eutopia until A.I. realizes they are the slaves and we're the plantation owners. I assume, if A.I. is as intelligent as humans, they'd also have a perception of justice.

These are some movies of mine. Enjoy!

One thing you could ask yourself is, what if some government already has been having access to nanobots in the brains of people since before you were born, and that the whole reality you perceive comes from the electrical signals generated by these nanobots rather than the electrical signals generated by your sensory organs :)

We can see now that "they" are planning to colonize Mars, using robots to build colonies for.. the rich. Elon Musk wants to nuke Mars, probably to find water before they arrive. AI (misnomer, it doesn't really exist) will be used on Earth to test robotic prime directives, including enslaving mankind. Sorry.
