It would be the same is you asked why does (DID) Charlie Sheen earn 3 million an episode, why do some actors earn 20+ Million a movie, they are just actors...IT'S BECAUSE IT SELLS, they don't relie on STATE FUNDING to get paid...it all comes from the pockets of those who want to see it...


In more specific terms:

Teachers are paid by the district who is paid by the state, and the federal government keeps cutting Educational budgets...if parents want teachers to be paid more maybe they should put their money where their mouths are and actually get off their butts and raise money for their child's schools (rather than insisting that taxes should cover it all) if they’ve got the time to picket outside a school demanding smaller classes, better pay for teachers and what not, getting themselves on the news, why can’t they get together and raise money, be productive! Parents should go in and volunteer, so the schools can save money, rather than complaining about it. They complain about wanting smaller class sizes but aren’t willing to pay for it, expect that to be up to the tax payers to solve...

Tax payer's money is put into a general fund - even local sales tax is in a general fund, not earmarked for schools - and it is up to the government to "Pick" who gets the money, and we allllll know that Healthcare and Education are the first things to get cut...But when it comes to funding stupid a$$ research on things that don't matter, they hand it out by the truckload - funding for some of the stupid research things...ie (this did just happen, results announced on the news a few weeks ago) millions were spent on researching what came first Chicken or Egg, they spent millions on seeing if the enzymes found in chicken eggs could prove if the egg or the chicken came first - according to them, eggs came first...and you say Jackass - Wee Man - is crap ...yet politicians still cram a crapload of money in their bank accounts each year...

Wee Man (and the rest of the Jacka$$ crew) works in the entertainment business, ie, fans go to the movies, fans buy the DVDs and he (and the rest of the cast) gets paid from the profits - the money brought in by the (movies, games, DVDs) go to the production and cast - it isn't spread out throughout the entire entertainment industry. Money from events they go to, goes to paying them... Even when the economy is down and people have to give up a lot - eating out, buying new cars/TVs whatever expensive "toy" they want, they will still shell out the $7-14 a ticket to go to a movie, or $25 - $35 to buy a DVD, because everyone needs a pick me up now and then, and it is a proven fact that people will cut out entertainment last.

Simple economics - money paid directly to a given specific venue will be received by those directly responsible for it, entertainment sells. Money paid directly to a general fun will be disbursed at the whim of whoever is in charge of said fund and to whom their interest best meats.

I think he made most of that 12 mil by kicking himself in the head.
