No more Jackass

I don't think it would be right for them to continue doing Jackass. Yes some say "ryan would want them to do it" i don't think they should continue without one of their own.i don't think it would be as funny anymore, the guys would have to many memories of Dunn, then get choked up about it, it would be to sad for them to carry on with it. anyone else feel that way?

reply

On one hand I agree, without Ryan they shouldn't continue with Jackass, he was a big part of it and it just wouldn't be the same without him... but on the other hand, he seemed like the kind of guy who Would want them to carry on without him.

So I guess it will be up to the guys to decided what he'd want, beings they knew him really well and how long till they continue. The one who will have the hardest time will be Bam, they were best friends and it will take him a long time to get past Ryan's death to the point where he could continue without his buddy (not going to say get over his death, because no matter the length of time you never rally get over someones untimely death).

Although, I would like to see them do some sort of memorial type vid/DVD thing. Let some time pass for them to morn, then get together and do some sort of sitdown remonissing type thing, telling their fav times with him, maybe show unreleased vids of him and the group - not so much of stunt type stuff, but just them hanging out between filming, that sort of thing.

he may not have had a lot of parts, but he was involved in the scenes, in the background laughing with the other guys while one guy does something stupid. he's been apart of jackass for what 10 years? he was a big part of what the show is. the show would be very different without him, i don't think they'd be as unny anymore, more cautious, or something like that.

He launched himself on a self made sling shot into a dirty lake
he jumped a creek (that had condoms) with a girls bike
He tried to kick out a limo window when bees were thrown in
He jumped a mini motor bike over a river and ate s***
He layed his balls on a ice horse, and then was pushed off
Boxed a female world light weight champion
Was thrown full frontal into a solid gate in a grocery cart
Rode a skateboard head first down a bowling lane

and lets not forget he stuck a toy car up his has and had it x rayed.

Ryan Dunn was very much apart of it.
It's not Jackass without him.
Or without any of them for that matter.

well put kb40strangeluv

I AGREE, No more Jackass, it wouldn't be the same without him, even though Dunn would say "Do it without me", I think the respect from Termaine & Knoxville, they will clearly won't do anymore films without him, maybe little specials like TV stuff and video games, but no more films, (I find it the last of the Jackass trilogy).

All and all,

RIP Ryan Dunn.

That was a sad subplot to Ryan's death. The guys all looked tired in Jackass 3 and I figured they wouldn't want to make another movie, but there was always room for a reunion or filming more stuff for online shorts or something. Now not so much...

reply

I agree - had Ryan not died I would have said that they wouldnt make another one - they did look tired - but now I can never see it happening again...

if they did online shorts or behind the scenes stuff like they did on Jackass world then im sure I and the fans would watch - but it is pretty hard to watch him getting hurt now :(

R.I.P Ryan

Do the *beep* snow angel, dude. Do the *beep* snow angel!!

That's what I was thinking too.. I just can't see the guys going: "You know, Ryan is gone, we are all still shocked by the tragedy and will probably never completely recover from losing one of our best friends, but, hell, we will still keep doing Jackass, trying to hurt ourselves in various ways and laughing our asses off as we go.." Don't see that happening ever again. I guess Ryan took that with him...

Honestly, to some extent... who isn't!? Say 'not me' and lie.

I am willing to bet the next Jackass will be 100% honored to Ryan Dunn. They will come up with the most insane, most disgusting stunts they can think of to honor his memory. And they'll be able and willing just because of the honor owed to a lost "Jackass".

The next movie will happen and its gonna be mega.

reply

Not at all. Who gives a crap about 'what Ryan would want'... this is what these guys do.

reply

Let's not forget that these are now in their 40's. They may want to take it easy.

reply

Good point.

reply

I think it's more important for them to stop because they're just getting too goddamned old. They've got kids. I don't want something to go wrong and for one of these guys to get really, really hurt. Sorta hurt, sure, that's friggin' hilarious. But not really hurt. This is a young man's game, and these guys are pushing 40 already. It's enough. 3.5 should be it.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I actually think there will be one more, someone on here a while ago said they could call it 'Jackass 4ever' which I thought would suit the final movie perfectly, though I have a feeling that if Johnny wants to do another movie Bam might not want to be apart of it. But hey what ever happens it's been a great ride all these years.

Jesus, that's really super... How'd a nitwit like you get so tasteful?

reply

I think they ended it at the right time, with all the images at the end of the 3rd one.

reply

Personally I do think they will do another one, but I don't think Bam will be a part of it.

"Jackass 4ever" is a great title.

I loved Ryan Dunn (strangely I always assumed he was Bam's brother).

I can see Jackass 4 happening because these films are huge profit machines.

In my opinion, Jackass has always been about the fragility of life, enjoying the moment and taking chances. If someone died on set, I think that would kill the series. Jackass is like a circus.. most of the acts are designed to look dangerous but are actually well researched and under professional supervision. They certainly do a lot of dangerous, unpredictable stunts as well that have a high probability of going wrong.

Ryan's passing was a tragedy but he was also drunk and speeding. We thought the Jackass guys were indestructible, but no, they're flesh and blood like us. His high profile death reminded us all of the consequences of being a Jackass. Then again, some people keel over at 34 from a heart attack never having lived life as Dunn did.

Life is risk.

lol what? theres no way in heck that theres going to be a jackass 4. are you joking me. ryan dunn is dead. do you think everyone will be able to just hurt themselves willingly while knowing he is dead. give me a break..

What the f%#k are you talking about dude!

reply

Going back and watching this it made me sad how Ryan was the only one who helped Bam when he was panicking in the snake pit.

reply

I think it's stupid if they quit doing Jackass because Ryan Dunn died. They were all irresponsible guys and one of them was bound to die sooner or later. I could see if he died doing a stunt but he didn't so I don't get why this has to effect the future of the movies.
