The cast

I'm not too sure about the cast so far. Any thoughts?

I remember seeing Domini Blythe in a production of King Lear up in Stratford, Canada a few years back. She did a good job. I haven't heard of the others, though.

Zoe Tapper was in Hex, and i didn't think much of her acting in that.
But she may be perfect as Selina for all i know.

I wrote Derren Brown's manager to plead the case for Derren to appear somewhere in this piece.

I think he'd be perfect as the librarian of the spiritualism library that gets visited about halfway through the story. He probably already owns an appropriate Victorian-era suit that he could wear in the film. No costume fittings necessary!

I am going to reserve judgement, i am just glad that we are going to get to see it on TV. I wonder if there are any plans for dramatising Night Watch?

"Never Eat More Than You Can Lift" - Miss Piggy.

Yeah there are, the BBC are working on it.

As a Derren fan myself I agree that his terrific camera presence deserves a lot more exposure... but equally I can't help wondering if it would have been a bit "jarring" for the audience. They'd stop getting involved in the close, atmospheric drama and instead think, "Hey! It's THAT guy!" Shoehorn the Dez into lighter scripts, definitely, but this drama depended so much on the willing suspension of disbelief that a cameo from a celebrity might have spoiled things.

They're showing "Derren Brown: Messiah" next Friday, btw!
