Why so many comments before release date

The realease date for Affinity is shown today (28 Dec) and yet so many comements appear bfore the release date - some going back to November and before.

Where and how did everyone see this before the release? - or is the release date wrong? I'm just curious.

It played at a number of film festivals in North America (and possibly elsewhere) prior to airing on TV in Britain.
