According to Paramount's press/publicity website (not accessible to the general public), this DVD release does NOT have any subtitles (nor is any advertised on the cover's backside). Unless there is some error, the disc will only offer English CC (closed-captioning), as the CC symbol is shown.

Note: to my knowledge, the CC words do not appear when viewing thru the HDMI input, but does work thru Component, S-Video, or Composite connections.

Spoken audio for AFFINITY is English-language only (no dubbed languages are advertised on the disc cover). Also, the image is presented in standard 4x3 (Full-screen), and NOT 16x9 widescreen.

For the disc's bonus features, and cover art images, visit the DVDTOWN listing for this title - www.dvdtown.com/moviedatabase/release-details/affinity/24277

It doesn't - officially - however I have a DVD or it might be the TV that will pick up captioning regardless of whether or not you can access it through the DVD menu. I don't know how it does it, but I'm glad it does. I watched it on another TV and could not access the captioning (which I always have on), so I watched it a third time on the other TV and yep there was captioning. Part of the the problem what there was several pieces of dialog that were garbled to me and I wanted to access it. Did anyone else miss pieces of dialog? Especially, the scenes between the matrons and Margaret.
