writers don't know their geography!!

I live about 5km away from the real Deerhurst Resort, where the 2010 Summit is going to be held. It's in the Muskoka region. In the movie they call it 'northern Ontario', and the 'Laurentians'. It's neither! It's central Ontario (yes, I know people in Toronto consider it 'north'), not northern. The Laurentian area IS northern Ontario, but it's 2 hours further north than Muskoka, it's the Sudbury area! Didn't Canadians write this thing?

The writer/director is from the UK.. I live right near Deerhurst Resort myself and was an extra in the movie as well as playing Lisa Ray's Camera man during the second half of the film..

The signs which the production staff of the film put around Deerhurst listed it as being in Montreal/Quebec area.. production and film staff had no idea at this point that the 2010 Summit was going to be occuring at Deerhurst Resort - believe it or not it was sheer coincidence..

To be saying that the writers and the director don't know their geography is not the greatest choice of words on your part, no offence intended.

The beginning of the movie clearly said 'Deerhurst Resort, 2 hours north of Toronto'. All the city references I heard/saw were to Toronto, not Montreal. I stand my my choice of words, poor or no.
