Is there any tips or specific trick combos to beat the vert challenge in X Games? I tend to find a quad flip across the gap and then a 900 Christ Air gets me in top place on the first round but i cant seem to match that score in any of the others...

I find this really hard too. I tend to do a flip trick with a fast spin then try tweak some grabs in time for landing, then i hope for the best, lol. I don't know how doing flips would score, i can't land them, ever. I think i managed 1 and that was by accident. Flips are hard.

Do a good trick off the drop-off, and try to get x3, once you start the Mega Ramp do another good trick then do some thing's like treaking grab's, christ air, and if your feeling good, front flip's/back are rewarding and if you land them, they're pretty good at stacking up points.
Then when you land lol, go into a manual (not nose manual because it's hard to control and WILL throw you off course) and keep going until you go up the massive half pipe then tweak grab's, good tricks etc etc.
Aswell, always throw in a couple 180/360/540's etc, as they help alot and will give you that x3 you need off the landing.

Over the first jump, just do a 900 (kinda hard, make sure you use the control sticks to help the spin), and then off the vert ramp do a crazy flip trick to grab, almost anything will work, as long as you do a 900/1080 off the second ramp. That usually gets me 99.99, just remember to do the big spins, anything added to them will get you the gold medal.
