To flip the script, Tommy Gunn returns to which Creed offers an exhibition. Gunn beats Creed or goes the distance resulting in Creed's credibility being shot just like what happened with Creed Sr. after the end of Rocky. Creed offers a rematch for the world title, but Gunn refuses to have a rematch unless Rocky comes out of retirement to train Creed. They train, Rocky gets sick, goes to one last fight for Creed and dies shortly after.

shareFunnily enough, the trailer for Creed III definitely evokes Rocky V with the implication that Jonathan Majors starts off as Creed's (Michael B Jordan's) buddy and protege of sorts, who then turns on his mentor when all the power and success gets to his head.
And yeah, it's a shame that Tommy Morrison (Tommy Gunn) died so young.
