Great subject, bad editing

Seriously, WTF was the editing? Cut to the Beatles breaking up, then it's 1963. That made absolutely no sense.

Totally agree, the entire thing was very disjointed and as a result disengaging.

Agreed, we get minutes and minutes of Olivia's rambling (charming woman otherwise) and George's comeback with Cloud 9 is not even mentioned. Little about his childhood, pre-Beatles years and why not include part of a performance on Saturday night live. Or play Faster during the part about racing. The Beatles circa 1964 and we hear Blue Jay Way which would've fit nicely during the part on Haight-Ashbury. Etc etc. And yet, fascinating stuff (Terry Gilliam and Phil Spector provide the best interviews). It just could've been so much better.

Exactly. Great raw material, crap editing.

Scorsese should be ashamed. This was an awful film; a shame, considering the subject matter is so interesting.

Martin did George no justice.
